FAQ Friday: April 30th

Welcome to the first weekly FAQ Friday. We’ll be answering some common questions we get here at the Magic Bus Company every week, so if you have some of your own that you need answered, feel free to chime in. Today’s question:

Q: I’m looking for a bus for my baseball team but I don’t need the full 52 passenger coach bus. Can you help me with a more cost-effective option?

A: This is a common question, and it’s really not a problem. We charter a wide range of buses: 15 passenger vans, 24 passenger mini coaches, 25 passenger mini coaches and 47 passenger coaches, all of which would come at a lower price tag than the full 52 passenger coach. No matter how big, or small, your group, we have the transportation option that will best suit your needs– and your budget!

FAQ Friday: May 7th

Hello all and welcome back to FAQ Friday, where we answer some frequently asked questions we get around here at the Magic Bus Company. Let’s get it started!

Q: How should I go about choosing a school bus charter company?

A:There are a lot of factors to consider in making your decision. Let’s break the answer down into four parts:

1. Check the school bus company’s past customer list, request a description of the year, make and model of the coach bus or school bus you
are chartering. Make sure you are only riding in the best vehicles available. Safety first!

2. Look into the school bus companies Commercial Vehicle Operating Record (CVOR). This will help assure you that the company has a good record of operation.

3. Visit the office in person. The state of a company’s office and yard says a lot about the operation itself. If you can, check out the vehicles in person before you agree to the charter.

FAQ Friday: May 14th

Good day everyone, and welcome back to FAQ Friday. We’re going to be answering a food related question today.

Q: Is food allowed on a school bus?

A: Of course! When you’re on a long trip without much time for major pit stops, you have to keep yourself fed and energized. It is preferred that you do not bring messy foods on a bus rental, because a happy driver is a driver that doesn’t have to clean up after 40 children. For more information on our charter regulations, please inquire ahead of the day of the reservation so as to avoid any confusion or mix-ups.

FAQ Friday: May 21

It’s that time of the week again, FAQ Friday. One of our most common questions is with regards to the usage of electronic devices on our buses, so let’s get a clear answer out there.

Q: Are electronic devices allowed on your charter buses?

Yes, they are. At The Magic Bus Company, we are dedicated to providing our customers with the very best traveling experience. The more entertained the passengers, the better. There is a big caveat though: Don’t distract the driver! The most important part of any trip is a safe trip , and the driver must maintain his attention on the road at all times.

Time to Enjoy the Great Outdoors!

The weather in southern Ontario has been just gorgeous this past week, and it doesn’t look it’s going to let up any time soon. With a warm summer ahead, maybe it’s time to get out of town and enjoy a weekend at the cottage or pay a visit to the beach. We’ll take care of the details so that you can focus on soaking up that sun.

Groups large and small, give us a call: 416-516-7433.

FAQ Friday July 2nd

After a brief hiatus, we’re back with more Magic Bus FAQ fun. Today we are going to be answering a question regarding the code of conduct aboard a school bus.

Q: What is the expected code of conduct for passengers aboard one of your school buses?

A: The biggest concern for any bus operator is the safety of our guests. As such, the most important rules are:

1. Keep your arms and head inside the bus at all times.

2. Please stay seated while the bus is moving

But also:

3. Keep your seat clean

4. Try to minimize loud noises or any possible distractions for the driver. Remember, a safe trip starts with an alert driver.

These are just a baseline, and of course common courtesy is always appreciated. Enjoy your trip!

FAQ Friday: July 9th

Welcome back to FAQ Friday for this beautiful July day. It’s been one of the hottest summers on record here in Toronto, so I hope you’re all doing your best to beat the heat. Today we have a question about our area of service.

Q: I want to charter a bus to Buffalo, NY. How much is it going to cost me?

A: Unfortunately, our charters do not run across the border and into the United States. We are happy to take you and your group almost anywhere in Ontario and Quebec, but we don’t make trips to our good neighbours to the south. If you are looking for a reputable operator that does the cross the border, we are more than happy to help you find one. Good luck!
